Department of Computer Science organized an online workshop on “Cyber Security, Ethical Hacking and Cyber Security as a Career” on 19-06-2021. Mr. Samiran Santra, CEO, Dataspace Securities Pvt Ltd was the resource person. He enlightened students on different types of cybercrimes, how safe our account on social media is, how to protect our personal data on the Internet, etc. “Cyber security has opened up a new horizon of jobs these days. Because of digitalization people and institutions need to deal with a huge amount of data. Providing security to data has become a major concern. Cyber security is a field where there is a lot of growth to a person who opts for it as a career” he said. He also demonstrated how an E-mail account and a smartphone can be easily hacked to capture personal information.
Mrs. Sowmya, Assistant Professor, Dept of Computer Science welcomed and introduced the resource person, Mr. Vinayachandra, HoD Computer Science, and proposed a vote of thanks. The program was compered by Mrs. Rajeshwari M., Assistant Professor, Dept of Computer Science. 250 students of BCA attended the workshop.
