Swachh Bharat Campaign

DSC_0034The members of Suraksha Consumer Forum and National Service Scheme of St. Philomena College Puttur have participated in ‘Swachh Bharat Campaign’ on 2nd October 2014 at Ward No 19 of Puttur Muncipality. Rev. Fr. Mathew Sanni Alapat, Rector of Santhom Guru Mandira Mukrampady inaugurated the Campaign and said that Mahatma Gandhi was aware of the pathetic situation of India’s rural people at that time and he dreamt of clean India where he emphasized on cleanliness and sanitation as an integral part of living. Therefore, it is high time that the students of St. Philomena College have taken interest and initiative to make ‘Puttur city – a clean city’. Prof. Vishnu Bhat, Vice Principal, Mr. Gangadhara Rai, former manager of Vijaya Bank, Mr. Prakash Mukrampady, Mr. Chandrahasa Rai, former manager of Vijaya Bank, Mr. Pradeep, Lecturer in Economics and Mr. Dhanya, Lecturer in Commerce have extended their cooperation in making this Abhiyan a successful one. This Campaign was organized under the guidance of Prof. Dinakara Rao, Director of Suraksha Consumer Forum and Prof. Nagaraju, Coordinator of NSS.
