The P.G Department of Social Work of St Philomena College Puttur had organized 3 days street play training workshop for the first year MSW students starting from 3rd November 2014.
Prof. Subbappa Kaikamba, HOD – Department of Commerce, Govt. First Grade Women’s College, Mangalore as well as well known theater artist was the resource person. In the workshop, a street play on the theme ‘Alcoholism and its Consequences’ having the title “Hosa Baduku” has been all set for staging.
P.G. Department of Social Work has planned 6 days Educational Rural Camp for I MSW students at Padnooru School of Bannuru Grama Panchayat, Puttur Tq. starting from 17-11-2014 to 22-11-2014.
On 18th of November 2014, during this proposed camp, the above planned street play will be performed by the students at Pervodi Junction of Bannuru Grama Panchayat. The same show will be staged again during the occasion of evening cultural programme in the camp as well.
Mrs. Anila D. Shetty, Assistant Professor, P.G. Dept. of Social Work coordinated the event. 48 students from I year MSW took active part in the training workshop.
