Signing Ceremony of MOU between SPC MSW and KIDS

Signing CeremonyThe Post Graduate Department of Social Work, St. Philomena College, Puttur has entered into Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Karnataka Integrated Development Society (KIDS), Puttur on 15.10.2014.

The collaboration provides an opportunity to explore the areas of mutual cooperation so as to serve the society better by placing at the disposal of the society whatever expertise is available with both the parties.

The event was chaired by Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, Chairperson of P.G Studies St. Philomena College and Msgr Dr George Kalayil, Vice President, KIDS, Puttur and Co-ordinator of MSW Department Mr. Prasanna Kumar was present on the occasion.

The MOU was signed by Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, Chairperson of P.G Studies St. Philomena College, on behalf of Post Graduate Department of Social Work, St. Philomena College, Puttur and Msgr. Dr George Kalayil, Vice President, KIDS on behalf of KIDS, Puttur in the presence of representatives from KIDS & Faculty members and students of P.G Department of social work, St. Philomena College, Puttur.

Wishing a great success for this endeavor to both the MOU partners, Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, Chairperson of P.G Studies St. Philomena College, termed the MOU a timely initiative in the right direction and congratulated P.G. Department of Social Work for its outward looking approach.

‘The signing of this historical and landmark MOU with the St. Philomena College,Puttur would not only be beneficial to both the Organizations i.e. SPC MSW and KIDS,Puttur, but it would go a long way in serving the society for its overall development’ opined Msgr. Dr George Kalayil, Vice President, KIDS, Puttur.

Mr. Prasanna Kumar in his preliminary remarks mentioned that the MOU broadly aims at development of bilateral cooperation between SPC MSW and KIDS, Puttur in the areas of field placement and research activities.

The programme started at 10.30 am with the opening prayer by Ms. Shravya. Ms. Nasreen proposed vote of thanks and Ms. Sumana emceed the programme.
