Department of Social work of St Philomena College, DKZP Higher Primary School Hanthyar and Suraksha Consumer Forum of St Philomena College Puttur, jointly organized an Information Programme on the topic ‘Role of Students in Consumer Protection’ in DKZP Higher Primary School Hanthyar of Puttur Taluk on February 16, 2015.
Prof. Laveena Nancy Pinto, Faculty member, Department of Social Work was the inaugurator of this programme. Prof. Dinakara Rao, Director of Suraksha Consumer forum was the resource person. Ms. Ashwini N and Ms. Preethi K, senior members of Suraksha Consumer Forum were the co-resource persons. The resource persons have made presentation on consumer rights, consumer duties, consumer disputes and settlement of consumer disputes.
Mr. Sudhakar Rao, president of SDMC of the school was the president of this programme. Mr. Hariyanna Gowda, Head Master of the school and members of SDMC of the school were present on this occasion. The students of Social Work Mr. Sachin welcomed the gathering, Ms. Triveni proposed the vote of thanks and Ms. Reshma compeered the programme.
