One-day Workshop on “Radio Programme Presentation”

Department of Physics (PG and UG) and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in association with All India Radio, Mangalore had organized a workshop entitled “Radio Programme Presentation” on 28th August 2019.

Prof. Leo Norohna,  Principal,  St Philomena College, Puttur  was the President of the function; Mrs S. Ushalata, Assistant Director, Akashavani, Mangaluru was invited as the  Chief Guest.  Rev. Dr. Antony Prakash Monteiro, Campus Director, St Philomena College,  Mr. Devu Hanehalli,  Mangaluru Akashavani admistrator, and Dr. A P Radhakrishna , Coordinator of  IQAC and H.O.D Physics  were the guests of  honour.

Chief Guest  Mrs S. Ushalata after inaugurating the function, said; Students must enhance the ability to be curious while learning the things.  They should possess a sharp and inquisitive mind which will be helpful for their personality development.

Guest of honour, Mr. Devu Hanehalli,  Mangaluru Akashavani admistrator, shared his work experience after he joined AIR. He also gave the thoughtful insight on exploring and nurturing hidden talents.  

Guest of honour, Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro said; all of us have that powerful potential which can be used in a particular space and time.  And when we know how to spend what we have in a meaningful manner, we can improve ourselves and also others.

Prof. Leo Norohna in his presidential address quoted; with the creative mind, great things will happen in the society and explained the importance of information technology in reaching and connecting with the people.

Sathwik Bedekar, performed the prayer. Dr A.P. Radhakrishna, H.O.D. Physics welcomed the gathering and Mr. Prashanth Rai, Coordinator, Performing Arts Association was the Master of Ceremony.

Coordinator of the Physics department Dr E Deepak D’Silva and faculty members of the department assisted from the beginning and throughout for the success of the programme.

After the inaugural function, various talents oriented and cultural activities performed by the students were recorded.
