St.Philomena College celebrated its Prathibha – Prize Distribution Day on 25th Feb, 2014.
Msgr. Faustine L.Lobo , National Director, Pontifical Mission societies India, Bangalore participated as the Chief Guest and in his speech he said that he saw in the students the future leaders who would build this great nation India. Everyone who enters the portals of these prestigious institutions will contribute to the society by becoming a person for others. Rev. Fr. Vijay Lobo and Rev. Dr. Antony Praksh Monteiro, participated as the guests of honour. Very Rev. Fr. Gerald D’Souza, correspondent of the college, presided over the function. Proficiency prizes and Annual Competition Prizes were distributed on this occasion. Sports Prizes on various events were also distributed. Manu Scripts prepared by the students were also released. State Level Prize Winners in Science Competitions were honoured. Mr.Gangadhar, president of Alumni Association and president of PTA Mr Mohammed Badagannur were graciously present on dais. Prof. Leo Noronha expressed his best wishes. Mr. Winston Cavin Sequeira, Student Council President welcomed, Mr. Gautham, Secretary Student Council presented student Council Report and Ms.Supreetha K.G., Joint Secretary of the Council proposed vote of thanks.
Ms.Vandana and Group rendered prayer. Ms. Dechakka and Ms. Maulya compeered the programme. After the lunch break, Cultural Programme was conducted. Talented students presented their items on stage.
