Department of Computer Science of St. Philomena College, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Vivekananda College of Engineering and Technology released a movie ‘Model’, For Someone Special directed by the students Vipin Rai, St. Philomena College and Sujith S. Patali, Vivekananda College of Engineering and Technology on 6th September, 2014 at Silver Jubilee Memorial Hall of St. Philomena College.
On this occasion the CD of the movie was released by the dignitaries.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Vijay Shetty, the Film Actor, participating in the occasion said, “Doing a movie is not an easy job. From the time of the conceiving of the idea till the showcasing it involves a lot of effort. “He congratulated the students Mr. Vipin Rai and Mr. Sujith S.Patali for their effort and called upon the other students to get involved in such kind of creative activities.
The students Mr. Vipin Rai and Mr. Sujith S.Patali while addressing the gathering said remembered everyone with gratitude who was a strong support during his work and also stressed the need for team work in such venture.
Prof.Leo Noronha, Principal in his Presidential address said, “The entertainment is a vast industry. Students with creativity have ample opportunities.” He added, “There is lot of hidden talents in our students. They should introspect and bring forward that talent so that they can successful in their life.”
Mr. Suresh Shetty, Annapurna Hotel, Mr. Nagaraju, Lecturer, Vivekananda College of Engineering and Technology and Mr. Vinayachandra, H.O.D, Dept of Computer Science, St. Philomena College were also present.
Vandhana and group sang the prayer song. Deeksha Gowda, ll BCA proposed the vote of thanks. The Master of the Ceremony was Mr. Jostin Vinroy, the Student Council Secretary.
