PG Department of Computer Science of St Philomena College Puttur had organized a guest lecture on the topic ‘Importance of Linux Environment System’ on February 21, 2015. Prof. Manjaiah D. H. of Mangalore University was the Resource Person. In his presentation he explained the basics of Linux operating System, Installation and applications ofLinux OS, advantages of Linux etc. Coordinator of Computer Science Department Prof. Govinda Prakash and the faculty members were present on this occasion.
