The department of Hindi, St. Philomena College celebrated Hindi Day with great fervour at the college premises.
The Chief Guest of the function Dr. Durgaratna , Head of the department of Hindi, Vivekananda College said , “ The students should bring a change in themselves according to the changing social, economical and cultural needs. Students being the future generation of the country play a major role in the progress, building unity and it as a republic nation. Hindi being our national language students should show keen interest on this language of national importance. “
Prof.Leo Noronha, Principal of the college presided over the function. Prof. Vishnu Bhat,Head of the department of Hindi was also present. On this occasion the winners of the inter collegiate competition and the students who secured the highest marks in the University level, Ms.Pavitra,Ms. Blossom and Ms. Joyline were felicitated.
Ms.Reshma and group sang the prayer song. Ms.Maria Priyadarshini, Lecturer, Dept.of Hindi welcomed the gathering. Ms.Jahira Sheik proposed the vote of thanks and Ms. Mehek was the master of the ceremony.
