Guest Lecture on ‘Managing Economic Growth in Emerging India’

DSC_7693“India’s macro economic prospects have strengthened and the country is best positioned among market economies” Dr V. B. Hans, HOD of Economics, St Aloysius Evening College Mangalore said in a Guest Lecture on ‘Managing Economic Growth in Emerging India’ organized by Planning Forum of PG Studies in Economics of St Philomena College Puttur on April 15, 2015. In his presentation, he pointed out the critical elements of the economy like fiscal deficits, infrastructural bottlenecks, black money, growing disparity, ecological crisis, slow growth of manufacturing, falling exports, massive inflow of capital, corruption, unregulated urbanization, etc. In his concluding remarks he said, Indian economy can be a perfect economy when stability, security and sustainability are followed with utmost significance.

Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, Chairperson for PG Studies, St Philomena College Puttur presided over the function. Prof Dinakara Rao, Coordinator of PG Studies in Economics, Prof. Pradeep K. S., Assistant Professor of Economics were present on this occasion.
