St Philomena College, Centre for P.G. Studies & Research, Puttur, organized felicitation programme for the staff achievers in the year 2014-2015 on March 24, 2015 at the Conference Hall of the P.G. Centre. The staff achievers were, Ms. Vaishnavi C., First Rank in M.Sc. Mathematics, Mr. Prasad H. M., Third Rank in M.Sc. Mathematics, Ms. Noothana Kumari M., First Rank in Library and Information Science and Ms. Priyanka Adline D’souza and Mr. Vipin Naik for passing KSET Examination held on November 2014.
The programme was presided by Prof. Leo Noronha, Principal of St. Philomena College and Rev. Dr. Antony Prakash Maonteiro, Chairperson of P.G. Studies was the Chief Guest. Rev. Dr. Antony Prakash Monteiro in his address said that, in order to inspire the students, the staff members first should inspire themselves. Dignity & sustainability of the College can be achieved by the qualitative staff members and not by the walls and infrastructure.
After the felicitation, Mr. Prasad expressed his joy with the staff members. Prof. Ganesh Bhat, Coordinator Department of Mathematics said, felicitating the staff members is a wonderful culture of St Philomena College. He complimented all the staff achievers for their achievement.
Prof. Leo Noronha in his presidential remarks said, Felicitation is the wonderful gesture not only for the staff achievers but also it is the inspiration to the other staff members. He further said, when a person is willing to achieve something, though there are hurdles, he will try his level best to achieve his goal.
Ms. Shridevi H. with her prayer song invoked God to shower his choicest blessings. Prof. Krishna, the staff secretary welcomed the gathering. Mrs. Sandhya Rai proposed the vote of thanks Ms. Nishal Pramila Serrao compered the programme.
