Family Counselling and Marital therapy

 ‘As youth of our society today are largely puzzled for many reasons there is a pressing need to assist them so as to make them sufficiently strong to bear with the circumstances of life. Family members require to understand the life well in order to bring about integration in the family, incidentally the very workshop is a genuine effort’ opined Rev. Dr. Antony  Prakash Monteiro, Chairman of P.G. Studies, St. Philomena College, Puttur.

 He was speaking after inaugurating 4 days workshop on ‘Family Counselling and Marital therapy’ organized by Post Graduate Department of Social work. He inaugurated the workshop by lighting the lamp & conveyed his best wishes for the success of the workshop.

 The principal of the college Prof. Leo Noronha presided over the function and said ‘effective communication, harmonious relationship and good adjustment between the members are the vital elements for the success and wellbeing of the family’.   Mr. Prasanna Kumar, Coordinator of MSW progrmme was present during the occasion.

 Rev. Fr. Francis, Lecturer, P. G. Dept of social work served as resource person for the event.

 The event was arranged for II MSW students of the department starting from 13-02-2014 to 17-02-2014.

Mrs. Supreetha, faculty member, coordinated the entire event. Mr. Sheethal welcomed the dignitaries and the Ms. Absa proposed vote of thanks. Ms. Krithi compered the whole proceedings.
