Internal Quality Assurance Cell, Department of Computer Science and Department of English of St. Philomena College jointly inaugurated the Digital English Language Lab at the IT Block, St. Philomena College Puttur on 27th August, 2014.
After the Inaugural Ceremony by Rev. Dr. Antony Prakash Monteiro, Campus Director and Chairman of P. G Studies the formal function was held at Prerana Hall.
Rev. Dr. Antony Prakash Monteiro, while addressing the gathering said, “Communication becomes effective with the proper usage of language and words without any grammatical error. The students must make the best use of this lab to improve their communication skills.
Prof. Leo Norohna, Principal, in his presidential address said, “English is a universal language; it is widely spoken all over the world. In this competitive world it becomes imperative to have a good hold over this language.”
Dr. A.P Radhakrishna, Co-ordinator of IQAC welcome the gathering, Pro. Suma .D., Dept .of English proposed the vote of thanks , Prof. Geetha Poornima , Dept of Computer Science was the master of the ceremony.
