The students’ Council of St. Philomena College observed Communal Harmony week. The Council has organized a special guest lecture on ‘Communal Harmony’ on 21st September 2012.
The Principal of St. Philomena College Prof. Leo Noronha presided over the programme. Dr. P. L. Dharma, Professor in Political Science, Mangalore University, Mangalagangothri participated as Chief Guest and delivered lecture on Communal Harmony. In his elaborated talk he dealt different issues which mar the harmony in the society. He called upon the students to live to the full and to become good citizens without having the barriers of any religion.
The student council president Mr. Shahanfar welcomed and introduced the Chief Guest. Ms. Soumya and group rendered prayer. The Student Welfare Officers Prof. Udaya K. and Mrs. Bharathi S. Rai guided the students. Ms. Mohitha, Joint Secretary of the Council compeered the programme.
