Annual sports day of the college was held on December 18, 2013. Mr. Chandrahasa Shetty, the officer in Vijaya Bank, Kadaba branch was the Chief Guest and the Inaugurator. In his inaugural speech he said that the students, in order to develop their personality, they should take part in sports and games. He also recalled the tremendous achievement of the college in sports and games in earlier years. The Campus Director Rev.Dr. Antony Prakash Monteiro in his speech said that the students should make the best use of all the facilities. He also said that the energy cannot be destroyed nor created but can be transformed from one form to another. The Principal of St. Philomena Pre University College Rev.Fr. Vijay Lobo was the guest of honour and graced the occasion. The Correspondent of the college Rev.Fr. Gerald D’Souza presided over the function and in his presidential address he expressed his happiness for the active involvement of all the students of the college in the sports meet. The Principal of the college Prof. Leo Noronha welcomed the guests and the gathering. The Physical Director Mr. Prakash D’Souza proposed a vote of thanks.
