Under the auspices of Suraksha Consume
r Forum and Election Cell of the college an awareness programme on enrolment of names in the Electoral Roll was organized in S.J.M. Hall on September 28, 2013. The Tahashildar of Puttur Taluk Mr. Kulle Gowda M.T. was the resource person of this programme. In his presentation, he said that this programme is organized for the benefit of those students attaining 18 years of age on or before January 1, 2014. The Election Commission of India has referred 01.01.2014 as the qualifying date for this purpose. In this regard, eligible students can fill Form No. 6 and submit it along with the necessary documents such as birth certificate, residential certificate etc for the enrolment of names in the voter list.
The Principal of the college Prof. Leo Noronha was the president of this programme. The Deputy Tahashildar Mr. Sridhar was present on this occasion. The Director of Suraksha Consumer Forum and Election Cell Mr. Dinakara Rao welcomed the guests and gathering. The Booth Level Officer Mr. Severine Mascarenhas has compeered the programme. At the end, 225 students were involved in the process of filling Form No. 6 to enroll the names in the Electoral Roll.
