The instantaneous aim of the education is to prepare the students for their actual life. Education in its real sense is development within and action outside. The core of it is not transmitting information but transforming human personality. This, as exemplified by Sri Aurobindo involves physical, vital, mental, psychological and spiritual aspects. Echoing similar sentiments Swami Vivekananda considered education essential for the entire universe.

The founder of the College thought that the education is a key to reform the society. In his way of founding educational institutions he established this higher educational institution in 1958. His fortitude, hard work and dedication, complete in itself laid a solid foundation for the vertical consolidation and horizontal expansion of the College over the years. The noble intention of the founder and impeccable emulation by his successors has placed the institution in greater heights. Since last six decades the College has served the people far and near without discriminating by caste, creed and gender.

The College is being co-education institution, is affiliated to Mangalore University, is also recognized by the UGC under 12(f) & 2B and accredited by the NAAC at ‘A’ grade in the III Cycle. The Sustained academic performance has been the hallmark of our College. The students are earning name and bringing fame to the institution. Our students are displaying unparalleled efforts in the field of sports and are bringing laurels to the College. Students moving out of the portals of the College and adorning coveted positions in the society are testimony to the ideals the College stands for and efforts of the other stakeholders.
